Tulfarris (Home) 3 defeated Castlecomer 2:
In a hard fought tight match against a strong & determined Castlecomer, our side cheered on by some great support from fellow club members, were successful and progress to a semi final again Newbridge by August 17th. With Shemus & Linday Dore wining on 16th to tie the match at 2 all, it was Stephen Cullen & Rosemary Prescott who despite having to give shots away on 17 & 18 & having just lost 16 to a fine par, held their nerves to record a 2 & 1 late in the evening.
Representing us on the day were: Frances & Jerry Lambe, Rebecca & Greg Edwards, Mary & John Curley, Septehn Cullen & Rosaleen Prescott & Shemus & Linday Dore.
Congratulations & thanks to all.

What is Slope ? See attached link
The quick (and overly simplistic) answer is that it's a single number indicating the difficulty of a golf course to a "bogey golfer". The figure is used when calculating handicaps. The Course Slope value is a two- or three-digit integer, always between 55 and 155, with 113 being the average or "standard" value.
